“When I get home” is a collection of poems and stories that I grew up hearing not just from the people surrounding me, but also family. Ever since moving to the States, I felt the absence of home, the mundane, the everyday people, the architectures that I was surrounded with; to me, those things became my home, they are the highest innovation of me. My intention for this project with minimalism influence and intentional placement to communicate the relationship between inner self with space, absence and presence.

Shaping the poems both visually and contextually, with architectural and abstract composition, it helps to express the poems content further. The different arrangement of organic shapes and lines throughout the series indicate the reappearance of certain elements in our lives across different lifetimes. Also, where the past merges the present, uses this as a tool to navigate through life. At last, “When I get home” is a love letter, a reflection, where I find groundedness and a sense of home wherever I am.
